A player of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 demonstrates a rare animation glitch they found when their Gunship perk ended at the exact moment their gunship was destroyed by a rocket.
Since the game’s release, many players have experienced some out-of-the-ordinary behaviors, bugs, and glitches.
Recently, a player demonstrated a flying AI foe while playing Invasion in the Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer mode.

Many of these occurrences, fortunately, are relatively minor and not game-breaking, but with the release of Modern Warfare 2 Season 1 coming up in just a few days, many players are hoping that some of the more peculiar bugs can be worked out.
The game has been plagued by minor bugs, but there have been reports of more serious issues that have caused people’s matches to be interrupted.
Fans of the game’s multiplayer mode have noticed issues with the riot shield rendering players invincible, in addition to the game crashing during the campaign.
Now, one player has found a peculiar bug with the Gunship perk under specific conditions.

A new video by user MrOneXTwo has been posted to the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 subreddit, in which he seemingly visits the location known as “The Upside Down” by the community in reference to the Netflix series Stranger Things.
Initial events in the clip depict a typical scenario, with the player using the Gunship perk to launch an attack against the opposing team.
The player is doing reasonably well while switching between the various guns, though they are taking a few hits here and there.
When the bonus ends, the player is returned to their ground-based body, but the sounds of AI soldiers screaming and the Gunship crashing indicate that something went wrong.

The player enters a map shrouded in red fog and hears alarm sirens instead of continuing where they left off.
They see a blank screen and then get shot by an enemy right away.
This is a very unusual bug that occurs if the Gunship perk expires and the player’s ship is destroyed at the same time.
The thread’s commenters claim that this triggers a bugged death animation in which the player sees both the outside and inside of the Gunship at the same time, complete with flashing red lights and alarms.
Those still inside the Gunship when it is destroyed will see a black screen.

Fans are crossing their fingers that the launch of Call of Duty: Warzone 2 next week won’t be marred by cheating, despite the fact that they should anticipate a few strange bugs and hiccups.
Thankfully, Activision’s Ricochet tool is live and has already begun the process of culling those players, something the original Warzone lacked for over a year.
Players have discovered cheaters in Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer as early as the first two weeks.
