An AI opponent flew away during a battle of Invasion in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, thanks to a humorous malfunction.

While playing Invasion, a fan of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was attacked by a flying AI.
On October 28, the multiplayer component of Modern Warfare 2 was released alongside the cooperative option Special Ops.
Users who pre-ordered Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 were given access to the game’s campaign a week early and were able to earn in-game benefits for doing so.
There are several different multiplayer game modes in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, including fan favorites like Team Deathmatch and Domination as well as some fresh additions like Prison Rescue, Knock Out, and Invasion.
Invasion brings massive warfare to Call of Duty, pitting two teams of 20 players against one another, as opposed to the 6v6 action of Prison Rescue and Knock Out.
The game features 20 artificially intelligent teammates for each team, however one fan reported facing a faulty AI rival.
The remaining comments are also rife with humor, with several puns and references to The Matrix scattered throughout.
One player, though, offers a possible interpretation of the footage.
They report a bug with bipod attachments in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, which doesn’t appear to have been fixed as of yet.
The video shows that the opponent AI actually does go prone right before taking off, which is consistent with this fault.
Since its release last month, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 users have reported a few issues.
Included in this category are bugs that cause players to fly away or become invincible, such as the one involving Riot Shields in Modern Warfare 2.
As a result of player problems upon release, Activision temporarily disabled the new weapon tuning tool while it looked into the issue.
Only two weeks after its release, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has already seen its share of cheaters.
There have been rumors that hackers were present in the Modern Warfare 2 beta, and other players have claimed that cheaters have been there since the game’s inception.
