The firing range in Apex Legends now contains a hidden reference to the popular game series Assassin’s Creed.

This discovery was made by fans shortly after the release of Season 17, which introduced various updates to the game, including changes to the World’s Edge map and firing range. Apex Legends has a history of incorporating Easter eggs, and the inclusion of an obvious nod to Assassin’s Creed is sure to excite many players.

Respawn, the developer of Apex Legends, has often included Easter eggs in the game since its launch. These Easter eggs take various forms, such as the Nessie Easter egg in the Broken Moon map or subtle references to other well-known games like Overwatch and Titanfall 2. In Season 17, the Nessie Easter egg made a return in the form of plushies found in the firing range. However, it turns out that Respawn had more surprises in store for players to discover.

A Twitter user named evefps was the first to discover the interesting Easter egg in the firing range. Players found that triggering the third-person view in the firing range required them to go up the hill in the northeast corner of the map, where a red flagpole stands at the peak. Once the player sits on top of the flagpole and waits for a few seconds, a synchronization movement, reminiscent of Assassin’s Creed, is automatically activated. The existence of this Easter egg was confirmed by Apex Legends Community Manager Karen Lee and later by developer Ian Holstead, who appears to have been responsible for its addition.

Interestingly, this is not the first time Assassin’s Creed has been referenced in Apex Legends. During Season 10, the introduction of the character Seer included a pose titled “Leap of Faith,” which depicts Seer leaping with his hands behind his back, similar to the iconic Leap of Faith from the Assassin’s Creed games.

While Easter eggs are just one aspect of the changes introduced in Season 17, the addition of the new character Ballistic and the planned improvements to Ranked matches and cheat detection systems are also generating interest among players. It remains to be seen how the new season will unfold for Apex Legends and whether the developers have hidden more Easter eggs in the game.
