Some players of Marvel’s Avengers still want Colonel James Rhodes, aka War Machine, to be a hero in the game.
Some players hope that James Rhodes, also known as “War Machine,” will join Marvel’s Avengers soon.
Players can feel like heroes with some of Marvel’s most famous characters in Marvel’s Avengers. However, some players hope that War Machine, another hero with flying armor, will join the team. There are already a lot of heroes in the game who are very similar, like Clint Barton, Kate Bishop, Thor, and Jane Foster. Crystal Dynamics could give Iron Man a similar alternative in the form of one of his closest friends and allies. This is not out of the question.
When it first came out, Marvel’s Avengers only had Captain America, Iron Man, the Hulk, Black Widow, Thor, and Ms. Marvel for players to choose from. After more DLC and updates, there are now 11 playable heroes, including Clint Barton, Kate Bishop, Jane Foster’s Thor, Black Panther, and Spider-Man, at the time of this writing. Crystal Dynamics has said that Bucky Barnes, also known as The Winter Soldier, will be the next member of the team. He will join as part of a future update.
Several online players of War Machine are hoping that Col. James Rhodes will find his way into the game as soon as possible. One of these players is oldmansavage12, who posted on Reddit that they wanted War Machine to join Marvel’s Avengers after The Winter Soldier did. Oldmansavage12 shared his hopes for War Machine with a bit of humor by referencing the popular 90s animated series X-Men.
As was already said, Col. James Rhodes is called “War Machine” when he is wearing the Iron Man-like suit that Tony Stark gave him. Unlike Stark’s Iron Man suits, Rhodes’ War Machine suit is gray and silver and has a lot of weapons, including one or two shoulder-mounted chainguns, missile launchers, and energy blasters. Rhodes is currently played by Don Cheadle in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He took over the role from Terrence Howard in Iron Man 2 because of a contract dispute, and his next movie, Armor Wars, will be about him.
Players can argue that it’s not impossible for War Machine to be one of the next heroes to be shown in Marvel’s Avengers. The game’s roster, like the comics, shows how two heroes with the same name can have their own take on it. For example, Jane Foster’s Mighty Thor uses Undrajarn the All-Weapon as part of her ultimate attack to channel her future as Valkyrie. War Machine, on the other hand, could have a more unique set of abilities because he uses both ranged and heavy weapons.
